“Field Robotics: Autonomous navigation and applications”
Field Robotics aims to develop autonomous robots for their use in practical applications, such as transport logistics, agriculture, and search-and-rescue, among others.
One of the main challenges when developing field robots is to find an appropriate way to handle unexpected events and the uncertainties intrinsic to operating in the real world.
Our group, as well as many others, addresses this using probabilistic models. In this talk, we will review some of the core technologies necessary for the development of field robots, as well as introduce some of the systems we have developed.
