Video Submissions:Friday 1 December 2023 to Sunday 21 January 2024

 

Qualification for Presenters

Students (undergraduate※ and graduate) from the following universities.

 - Utsunomiya University, Japan

 - University of Ghana, Ghana

 - Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia

 - Meru University of Science and Technology, Kenya

 - Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, Kenya

 - Nelson Mandela African Institute of Science and Technology, Tanzania

 - University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

 

※Presenters who are undergraduate students must be recommended by their supervisor or UU-A coordinator at their university, or must have the certificate of the compulsory intensive course ‘Global Management.’ The recommendation process will be completed after a supervisor or coordinator sends an email to uuasummit[@]gmail.com and tenkai[@]miya.jm.utsunomiya-u.ac.jp (please convert [@] to @) with the supervisor’s (coordinator’s) name and affiliation, and the nominee’s name. The deadline for nominations is Sunday, January 7, 2024.

 

How to Apply for Presentation

Please make sure the following procedures.

 

①Creating My Account

Please access the following web site and create your own account.

 UU-A Student Summit 2024 (closed)

※After creating your account, the acceptance completion email will deliver automatically to the email address you entered. The email includes URL for accessing My Page, Registration Number, and Password, so please make sure them.

 

②Registration of Title

 Please login My Page, and then press ‘Presentation Registration and Modification’ and resister your presentation title. The required information for this page is following. Also, items marked with a red asterisk must be filled in.

 - Name of author(s) and affiliated institution(s)

 - Title of Presentation

 - The target number(s) in the SDGs related to your presentation

 - Keyword about your presentation (up to 5 words)

※After registration of title is completed, the acceptance completion email will deliver automatically to the email address you entered, so please make sure it.

※Registration of title will closes on Sunday 7 January 2024.

 

③Registration of Abstract

 Please login My Page, and then press ‘Abstract uploads’ and submit your abstract. The ‘Abstract uploads’ button will be available after you completed registration of title. Please make sure you download the following abstract format (Word file) and make abstract with in one page (A4 size) in accordance with the following guideline.

 - Font type:Times New Roman

 - Font size:Depend on each section.

 Title (16pt in bold), Name of author(s) (14pt), Name of affiliated institution(s) (12pt), Section headlines (14pt in bold and capital letters), Text (12pt), Name of supervisor (14pt)

 - You are not allowed to include diagrams, graphs, tables, pictures, etc. Please make the abstract with letters only.

 - Please definitely explain relationship / contribution between your research and SDGs.

 – You can change section headlines freely, and please use capital letters.

 – Please name the file as ‘[Registration]_Name of presenter’ (e.g.: E0002_Stella Kuo).

 - Please submit the abstract as Word file.

④Registration of Video

   Please login My Page, and then press ‘Video uploads’ and submit your presentation video. The presentation video guideline is following.

 - Presentation video should be less than 10 minutes (strictly).

 - Presentation video should be less than 100MB.

 - Please explain presentation slides that make with PowerPoint.

 - Please write title, name of presenter and affiliation at the beginning of the presentation video.

 - Recording media are anything, but we recommend recording on Zoom.

 - Please name the file as ‘[Registration]_Name of presenter’ (e.g.: E0002_Stella Kuo).

 - Please submit the presentation video as MP4 file.

※After registration of video is completed, the acceptance completion email will deliver automatically to the email address you entered, so please make sure it.

※Registration of video will closes on Sunday 21 January 2024.
