Welcome to the UU-A Student Summit 2025

We cordially invite you to participate in the UU-A Student Summit 2025.

 The UU-A Student Summit is an international online student academic conference where students from Utsunomiya University and six African partner universities will present their own research online on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and for developing human resources who contribute to the SDGs. This is the fourth UU-A Student Summit since its inception in 2022. The core theme of the UU-A Student Summit is “Interdisciplinary.” We welcome students from all backgrounds, regardless of their field of study.

  With the rapid development of international society, many global problems have emerged, such as the climate change, natural disasters, health and sanitation, food insecurity, armed conflicts, refugees, terrorism, gender discrimination, economic disparities, economic crises, etc. It is difficult to solve these problems without considering different perspectives and working together across disciplines. Through this summit, we aim to learn from new perspectives and consider the meaning of “interdisciplinary” by sharing the research of Japanese and African students.

 This Summit is a valuable opportunity to experience an online interdisciplinary international academic conference. You will be able to participate in the programs remotely and on-demand, and ask and answer questions in a chat format with students and faculty from seven universities in five countries. You can participate in this summit by simply creating a presentation on your completed or ongoing research related to the SDGs. We look forward to receiving your impressive research, and hope to make the UU-A Student Summit 2025 a memorable interdisciplinary conference.
